TRASHED – Oklahoma City Wedding Photography

Ok, ok, it’s no secret…I haven’t shot many weddings….third times a charm?? I was pretty stoked when Liz said she was open/willing/excited to do a ‘trash the dress’ session. For the lay person this means that the day AFTER the wedding bride puts on a wedding dress, looks amazingly gorgeous BUT is willing to pretty much do anything…and i mean anything. What I love about it more than anything is that i have control (unlike the wedding part). I think I shy away from weddings so much b/c I feel there is such a small pocket of time on a wedding day for creative control. A bit of self-recognition/therapy here; I like to have control, esp when it comes to my photography. So allowing a few hours to create creativity is a PERFECT fit for me. They drank margaritas along the way, we laughed, it was casual (albeit HOT), but laid back…I mean, heck, they were already married, so there was no pre-wedding tension or jitters, just some relaxing fun on the streets and sands of Zihuatanejo. It was perfect. JUST PERFECT. I CANNOT WAIT TO GO BACK. Love you guys, thanks for making me part of your day(s) in Zihua!!
